We all have those days where we don’t want to get that assignment done, we are tired, feeling overwhelmed or just downright lazy. It happens we are humans and sometimes we just need a kick up the butt to realign and think outside the cages of the mental box we sometimes put ourselves in. I am a huge believer in motivational quotes and mantras, I have them in my room stuck on the wall to remind me daily of certain things that sometimes in the daily grind we forget. Above my bed hangs a picture that says “Cultivate the habit of being grateful” and every day when I make I bed I look at it and tell myself in that exact moment 3 things that I am grateful for that morning.
They are usually simple things like amazing weather, cuddles with my pup or even that I’ve got to have a sleep in but it really starts my day in the right way. I used to wake up roll over and scroll through my social media but I have stopped myself from doing that now because a share of a video about cruelty in our world can really start my day off terribly. Though these matters are terribly important and of course these videos are only there to raise awareness I choose to spend my mornings in the now with positivity and good vibes.
